Insurance
Our goal is to provide high quality outpatient Healthcare in an all-inclusive
facility as well as emergency hospitalization, with as little out-of-pocket
expense to Travelers as possible. We strive to work with your Insurance Company
and file claims for you while minimizing your out-of-pocket expenses. We realize
that most of our winter residents are on fixed incomes and need to plan their
budgets accordingly. We will work with you in any way we can to help you achieve
your goal of good health and still live within your budget. We except Canadian
Travel Insurance under the terms and conditions of your Policy. We also accept
other foreign and domestic travel Insurance Policies. We will file your
Insurance claims and will work with you to obtain your covered benefits.
To utilize your Travelers Insurance Policy at CanCare Clinic, it is necessary
for you to obtain an authorization number from your Insurance Carrier. You'll
find a toll-free number on your Insurance card and/or Policy that you must call
in order to report your medical condition and to obtain the authorization
number. This authorization number is the identifier by which we file your claim.
Along with your personal, Insurance, billing and provincial information, we are
able to process and file your Insurance claim with your Insurance Company so
that benefits are paid for the services rendered.
A link to our Clinic registration is located on our
Registration Tab.

self pay is negotiated in advance with the hospitals. These rates when
negotiated upfront are generally less than the prevailing Medicare rates and are
extremely reasonable.
We primarily utilize the HCA hospitals in our area:
St. Petersburg General
Northside Hospital
Edward White Hospital
Largo Medical Center
St.Anthony's Hospital
If your policy requires that you be hospitalized at
Bayfront Hospital, we work with staff physicians there.
We have agreements with the HCA hospitals for Medicare
rates, a savings to you and your company as well as a way to hold down your
rates.
We will also negotiate for you as you request in the event
that you need assistance in obtaining reasonable hospitalization rates.
